Off road Truck Competition Highlight at this year’s Carbon County Fair

Like trucks?  Like excitement?  Then you’ll love the first annual Tuff Truck Challenge at this year’s fair on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 7PM in the arena.  There will be enough excitement to make your entire family sit on the edge of their seat as these mini-monster trucks make the mud and dirt fly on our newly built Tuff Truck course.  Our clay track features some of the best jumps and antics found anywhere.  Hopefully the boys can keep their machines on all four wheels.  We dare these trucks to take the shortcut through the mud pit.  If they make it, it cuts precious time off of their run, but boy does the mud fly!  This will prove to be the best off road competition in the area, featuring some of the greatest off road modified trucks the sport has to offer.  If you think the wheels you drive to work everyday are “tuff” enough to tame our track, you may be taking home a beautiful trophy, bragging rights and cold cash in our stock class.  While all these antics are happening, our spectators are safe and sound in our 2000 seat arena.  All trucks perform behind a concrete barrier wall keeping the action where it belongs.  So pack up the family and bring them to the Carbon County Fair to see this exciting show of mini-monsters!

Registration

 

*    $20.00 per driver when pre-registered by August 1, 2008 at 11PM.  To pre-register, please email the following:

o        address

o        telephone number

to ccllfa@ptd.net. 

 

Please remember to type Off-Road Truck Challenge in the Subject line.  Fee payable (cash only) inside the arena immediately prior to the event on Friday, August 8, 2008.  

 

*    $30.00 (cash only) per driver when registering on the day of the event (by 4PM).   

 

*    Registration includes free fair admission for Driver & 1 pit person.

 

*    Gates for event open at 3PM.

 

*    Tech closes at 5PM. 

 

 

 

RULES & REGULATIONS

 

General rules & regulations for stock and modified classes

 

*    If under the age of 18, must have parental consent to participate.

*    Must present/have valid driver’s license.

*    Vehicle and driver must appear to be in safe operating condition.

*    Snell-rated helmet and neck collar required.

*    Long pants and long sleeves must be worn by driver.

*    No open toed-shoes.

*    No alcoholic beverages or drug/drug paraphernalia permitted on premises. 

*    Officials have final call/discretion.

 

Stock class rules & regulations

*    All soft tops need roll cage.

*    All vehicles must be stock with maximum of 4” lift kit.

*    General rules & regulations above apply.

 

Modified class rules & regulations

*    Driver’s side window net

*    Approved fuel cell or stock gas tank with rollover valve

*    Kill switch on the rear of truck

*    5-Point harness

*    6-Point cage fastened to frame

*    No exhaust tubing

*    No miter cuts

*    No exposed fuel lines in drivers quarters
